Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SlimeWorks ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at slimeworks.net, our Minecraft network at play.slimeworks.net, and related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by an individual based in Canada.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Minecraft username when you use the store or link a profile for checkout. We look up your Java profile through Mojang's public services to obtain your UUID.
  • Messages you send us on Discord or by email (support, refund requests, appeals).

Information collected automatically

  • Store convenience data in your browser: a cookie may remember your last entered Minecraft username, and local storage may hold your shopping cart until you clear it or complete checkout.
  • Server and security logs: when you connect to our Minecraft servers, we may log your username, UUID, IP address, and connection details for moderation, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic hosting logs: our web host may record IP addresses, request paths, and timestamps when you load pages. We do not use separate marketing or analytics tools on the website at this time.

Payment information

Purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects payment card and billing details directly. We receive confirmation of payment, amounts, and metadata needed to deliver perks (such as your Minecraft UUID and product purchased). Read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Run game servers and deliver purchased in-game perks to the correct account
  • Process orders and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Enforce server rules and respond to support requests
  • Maintain and improve the website and network
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Stripe to process payments
  • Mojang / Microsoft services when we verify your Java username or UUID
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that help us operate the website and servers
  • Law enforcement or others when required by law or to protect the safety of players and the Service

4. Retention

We keep purchase records and delivery logs as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle disputes, and meet legal requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited period unless needed longer for security investigations. You can clear store cart data in your browser at any time.

5. Cookies and local storage

Our store uses a small cookie to remember your Minecraft username between visits (if you choose to save it) and local storage for your cart. These are functional, not used for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some store features may not work as expected.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your rights (Canada)

If you are in Canada, you may have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, including the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction, or withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).

We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your Microsoft/Minecraft account and do not share account access with others.

9. International users

Our servers and operators are based in Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
