Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SlimeWorks Minecraft network, website at slimeworks.net, and related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by an individual based in Canada ("SlimeWorks", "we", "us").

By joining our servers, using our website, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Minecraft and our Service complies with Mojang's Minecraft Usage Guidelines and related policies.

2. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft

SlimeWorks is an independent community server network. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang AB or Microsoft Corporation. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

3. The game network

We provide Java Edition multiplayer game modes (such as survival and minigames) at play.slimeworks.net. Modes, maps, plugins, and availability may change, be reset, or be removed at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific player counts, or preservation of in-game progress, builds, items, or currency unless we state otherwise for a specific mode.

4. Acceptable conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use cheats, hacked clients, exploits, or automation that gives an unfair advantage
  • Harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against other players or staff
  • Advertise other servers or services without permission
  • Attempt to disrupt the Service, bypass security, or access systems you are not allowed to use
  • Use the Service for anything illegal under applicable law

Staff may warn, mute, kick, or ban accounts at our discretion. Bans may apply to your Minecraft account, IP address, or related identifiers. You may appeal through our contact channels below.

5. Store and digital purchases

Our website store sells digital in-game perks (such as ranks or cosmetics) delivered to the Minecraft Java account you provide at checkout. Prices are shown in the currency presented at checkout (typically USD through Stripe).

When you buy something:

  • You must enter a valid Java Edition username. We verify it through Mojang's services.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
  • Delivery is tied to your Minecraft UUID. Purchases are generally non-transferable.
  • If delivery fails because of an incorrect username, server downtime, or a technical issue on our side, contact us and we will try to help.

6. Refunds

Because products are digital and often delivered quickly, all sales are generally final. That said, we handle refund requests case by case. Contact us if something went wrong with your order, you were charged in error, or a perk was not delivered.

Fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes made in bad faith may result in removal of perks and a ban from the network and store.

7. User content

You may create builds, chat messages, and other content in-game. You keep ownership of what you create, but you grant us a license to host, display, and back up that content as needed to run the Service. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or applicable law.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SlimeWorks and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or in-game items arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province or territory in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
